This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, switching and routing, power, cooling, and physical environments. The Systems Engineer will also assist in the operation, maintenance, and coordination of MDF/IDF infrastructure and remote site interconnects supporting datacenter services. Key responsibilities include monitoring datacenter systems for health, performance, capacity, and availability, identifying and remediating risks proactively, and participating in infrastructure lifecycle management. The position involves administering and supporting virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware) and enterprise server environments, performing root cause analysis for infrastructure incidents, and deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux virtual and physical servers in collaboration with application support teams. The role also requires supporting core networking infrastructure, ensuring infrastructure aligns with security and compliance requirements, and adhering to change management processes. After-hours maintenance and support are expected as needed, particularly when business continuity is threatened. The Systems Engineer will develop and maintain full-stack documentation, implement and support enterprise applications from an infrastructure perspective, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements are also part of the role.
