About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer III to join our team! The Systems Engineer supports requirements engineering, integration planning, lifecycle management, and technical risk and issue mitigation across complex, mission-focused systems on the IaaS task. The role pairs strong Linux command-line expertise with deep Jira Service Desk administration, and carries responsibility for driving cross-stakeholder alignment, maintaining disciplined configuration and change control, and producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation that supports engineering, operations, and compliance needs.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
Twenty (20) years' experience as a Systems Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated proficiency navigating Linux systems using the Linux CLI
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Security+ certification preferred
Experience with Git Source Control System

Responsibilities

Supports requirements engineering, integration planning, lifecycle management, and technical risk and issue mitigation across complex, mission-focused systems on the IaaS task.
Drives cross-stakeholder alignment.
Maintains disciplined configuration and change control.
Produces clear, comprehensive technical documentation that supports engineering, operations, and compliance needs.
Elicits, analyzes, validates, and documents technical and functional requirements to ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and align with mission objectives.
Develops detailed integration strategies, coordinates cross-team dependencies, and oversees system integration activities to ensure seamless interoperability across components.
Identifies potential risks, evaluates impacts, creates mitigation plans, and tracks issues through resolution to maintain system stability.
Maintains disciplined configuration baselines, documents changes, enforces version control processes, and ensures all modifications follow established governance procedures.
Collaborates with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, alignment, and timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Defines system lifecycle strategies, including development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement, and decommissioning phases to support long-term program sustainability.
Designs, configures, and maintains Jira Service Desk projects, workflows, automation, permissions, and custom fields to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.
