About The Position
Agile Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer III with deep technical expertise in Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare who can lead complex engineering efforts from requirements analysis through full lifecycle execution. The ideal candidate will bring advanced systems engineering skills, hands-on experience with Navy training systems, and the ability to evaluate architectures, guide design decisions, and support high‑visibility test and training events.
Requirements
- Master's level degree in one of the following areas: Computer, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering; Computer Science; Information Systems Management; or Systems Engineering
- Ten (10) years of professional experience in systems engineering experience with Combat Systems, or Electronic Warfare Systems
- Must be able to travel up to 20% CONUS & OCONUS
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Secret clearance at minimum
- Demonstrated experience in the following areas: Computer Architecture, Red Hat Linux, Virtualization Technologies such as: VMWare and RHEV, RTI DDS Messaging, RTI-S HLA, Model Based Systems Engineering Software
- US Navy SLQ-32A, SLQ-32B, and/or SLQ-32(V6) experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of IEEE and other industry standards/best practices
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience providing requirements to Trouble Reports (TR) and/or Change Requests (CR) written against failed requirements
- Demonstrated experience reviewing architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing and performance for Combat Systems or Electronic Warfare Navy systems
- Demonstrated experience evaluating design options and recommend solutions to identified Combat Systems or Electronic Warfare Navy systems problems
- Demonstrated experience providing subject matter Combat Systems or Naval Electronic Warfare expertise to develop test plans, test specifications, test reports, and other planning documents
- Demonstrated experience developing procedures to test functional-level and system-level requirements of the Combat System or Electronic Warfare Training software
- Demonstrated experience managing DoD software projects from cradle to grave
- Demonstrated experience in Combat System or Electronic Warfare design, core technologies and Combat System or Electronic Warfare training execution
- Demonstrated experience with DosaD navy training systems and training tool development
- Demonstrated experience participate in training related test events such as: Advanced Computer-Based Training Systems (ACTS)/Battle Force Tactile Training (BFTT)/Advanced Training Domain (ATD), Fleet Synthetic Trainer (FST), Aegis Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI), GPS-Based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Service (GPNTS)
