About The Position
The System Engineer acts as a liaison between PCHA clinics and LPCH Clinical Technology. This includes responsibility to the entire program cycle and for design and deployment of Biomedical device interface to Epic. The Clinical System Engineer will work with the department director to plan and design the Clinical Technology infrastructure for all UHA Clinics.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- Three (3) years of Clinical Technology Project management experience.
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus.
- Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.
- Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
- Knowledge of new technologies (in specific field) and maintain and stay abreast of updates and changes.
- Knowledge of project management process and systems.
Nice To Haves
- CBET (Certified Biomedical Technician) preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Project Management Experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists doctors and nurses with clinical technology maintenance and repair assistance.
- Reports problems and solutions to CT& BE leadership.
- Assists all clinicians with user training.
- Adheres to the CT& BE Medical Equipment Management Plan.
- Responsible for complete and meaningful Nuvolo database documentation.
- Responsible for Life-support and Critical equipment regulatory compliance issues.
- Ensures all medical equipment safety issues are properly handled.
- Regularly meets with managers, leadership councils, and staff.
- Serves as a liaison between Manufacturer/Vendor and equipment users.
- Leads the Clinical Technology planning and deployment for UHA facilities.
- Represents the Clinical Technology department in enterprise wide projects.
