About The Position

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) organization is currently hiring interns to join our Tucson, AZ location. SETC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and test to shape innovative solutions for our customers. Join our organization and experience the Systems engineering life cycle while interfacing with a variety of engineering disciplines, subject matter experts, chief engineers, chief technologists, the customer, and so many more to ensure we design, integrate, test and strengthen our systems to work the first time and every time for our warfighters! This position is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • 0+ years of experience with a Masters Degree in Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (TS/SCI) is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite tools
  • Experience with tools, such as MATLAB or Python, for data analysis and automation
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles, processes, and tools (e.g., requirements analysis, system modeling, and verification/validation).
  • Basic knowledge of systems modeling tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software.
  • Understanding of hardware and software integration processes.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group problem-solving efforts.
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Work on a multi-disciplined team to support systems integration
  • Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
  • Work in a lab environment integrating software, firmware and hardware in support of complex systems
