As a Systems Engineer II, you will build upon foundational skills and perform intermediate tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, Verification & Validation (V&V), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will conduct system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management with minimal supervision. You will contribute to and sometimes lead project tasks with a working knowledge in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management. Strong communication and collaboration with team members and stakeholders are essential as you develop solutions and support organizational objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency with Systems modeling and simulation tools.
  • Practical knowledge of multiple Engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and V&V principles.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network topologies
  • Familiarity with network configuration and management tools
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment emphasizing rapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision.
  • Proven successful experience in project definition, simulation, implementation, lab integration and test.
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to, requirements management, MBSE.
  • Experience or certification in International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards [Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP)].
  • Exposure to baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies.
  • Understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
