Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our Space and Air, Electronic Warfare & Signal Processing Department, where you’ll help shape, define, and design advanced communication solutions that support military missions around the globe. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love solving complex problems, collaborating across disciplines, and growing their technical skill set in a dynamic environment. This role is onsite located in El Segundo, California.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a technical, analytical, or problem‑solving role.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Advanced STEM degree
  • Experience troubleshooting electronics and using common test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, interface documents, and basic communication protocols
  • Ability to integrate software with hardware; exposure to languages such as C, C++, or C#
  • Experience with data collection, instrumentation, and basic scripting or automation for analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and analysis tools such as MATLAB or Python

Responsibilities

  • Support radar system integration, requirement verification, and testing across lab, field, and depot environments.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Integrate hardware and software.
  • Analyze system performance.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and root‑cause investigations.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Maintain engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate solutions with cross‑functional teams.
  • Support sustainment and depot return activities.
