About The Position

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team is seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer II to plan and execute complex integration and verification test events. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in system integration and testing. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge missile defense technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment. This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.​ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance​
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent) and configuration control practices
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, JavaScript, C/C++ and/or other programming languages
  • Experience with IP protocols, networking, communication protocols, and/or Linux

Responsibilities

  • Support testing effort: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification in both simulated and real-world environments
  • Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed analysis and debugging
  • Drive Performance: Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues
  • Modeling and Analysis: Utilize modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation
  • Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems in field test and hardware in the loop environments, evaluating their functionality and impact.
  • Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality
  • Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations occurring primarily during first shift and part time section shift hours.
