The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), algorithm development and system performance. The Radar Systems Department within the SE&TC is seeking a Systems Engineer to help in the development of requirements, concepts of operations and algorithms, and the execution of integration and analysis activities. In this role, you’ll collaborate across disciplines and partner closely with engineering teams to turn ideas into integrated, working solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly enables teams to deliver reliable, mission-ready systems.

Requirements

Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with systems hardware, systems/software requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and/or other programming language.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architecture.
Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.
Proven experience in system-level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance, or design and development of system-level software architecture.
Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo or other digital engineering tools.
Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
Experience with military systems.
Current/Active DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop concepts of operations for radar systems.
Develop radar processing algorithm.
Develop Radar systems/software requirements.
Be responsible for statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data.
Be responsible for analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution.
Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions.
Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers.
