Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer II. Work as part of a team that supports communication activities, in addition to enterprise-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team. Location: Las Cruces, NM

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
Experience in SATCOM, IT Systems, communication hardware.
Experience in problem solving in time-critical situations.
An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems.
Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles.
Experience with Windows and Linux platforms.

Responsibilities

Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems.
Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions.
Crosstrain in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
24/7 Operations environment.
Non-scheduled call-ins.
Rotating day/night shift schedule.
