Requirements

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date
  • Experience in software development and automation using Python, MATLAB, and related tools to build solutions for system modeling, analysis, and data processing, including applications in AI/ML workflows.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • DoD Clearance: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with matrixed technical roles such as discipline leaders, Lead Systems Engineers (LSEs), Test Architects (TAs), and Chief Technologists across the Technology Pyramid
  • Experience supporting digital transformation activities such as MBSE, AI/ML-enabled workflows, or automated engineering processes
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to transformation initiatives such as Digital Test Strategy, AI/ML, Test Driven Multidisciplinary Capability, and TestForward to enhance engineering execution
  • Collaborate with Discipline leaders, Lead Systems Engineers (LSEs), Test Architects (TAs), and Chief Technologists across the Technology Pyramid
  • Support system-level analysis, trade studies, modeling efforts, and early concept development tied to technology strategy
  • Assist programs with technology deployment, training, and new use case development
  • Participate in developing, improving, and deploying enterprise-wide processes, tools, methods, and digital engineering workflows
  • Travel as required to support testing, technical reviews, collaboration events, or program activities across engineering sites and facilities
