About The Position
RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join their Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in the development and documentation of requirements and interfaces, as well as design analysis, modeling and simulation, system integration, and trade studies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system compliance through the documentation and execution of system verification processes. This position is a Full-Time, On-Site located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
- Experience in applying basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Active and existing security clearance required after day 1
Nice To Haves
- Previous engineering project and internship experience
- Exposure to requirements development, derivation, and management
- Exposure to integration of software and hardware subsystems
- Exposure to security engineering concepts and practices and the systems/software development life cycle
- Exposure to Aerospace platforms / systems
Responsibilities
- Provide basic support developing and documenting requirements and interfaces
- Provide basic support developing, documenting, and executing system verification to show compliance
- Integrate software and hardware subsystems
- Follow a structured data driven approach to solve problems
- Contribute to the completion of Project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads
- Follow established SE processes and procedures
