About The Position

This position is for a Systems Engineer I within the AVI MIL FMS/DAS team, focusing on flight management systems integrated into military helicopters and planes. The role involves working within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features. It emphasizes integrating soft skills such as leadership, communication, coordination, and proactiveness in a dynamic environment to deliver quality products. Travel, both domestic and international, is expected to be less than 10%. The position offers an opportunity to grow knowledge in Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major to be obtained by start date.
• Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to draft System and/or Software Requirements
• Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification)

Responsibilities
