Requirements

  • 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
  • Experience conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action RCCA) investigations or equivalent structured engineering problem solving approach in professional or educational setting
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors – Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
  • EW/Radar/EO-IR system experience
  • Experience with product testing and troubleshooting in the factory/depot or field environment
  • Experience working with and interpreting interfaces between hardware and software
  • Experience in working with software/firmware development and implementation

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program and factory personnel to track anomaly metrics, identify failure trends, perform Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to drive measurable yield improvement and accelerate throughput
  • Collaborate with hardware and software design team to develop a modular, cost-effective maintenance strategy for fielded products.
  • Support development of Built-In test (BIT) by developing requirements, driving hardware design feature selection, modeling failure modes and associated fault coverage, supporting software integration, and demonstrating effective capability
