About The Position

We are seeking an innovative and talented Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to a team responsible for maintaining and operating a high priority operational system at a high level of availability. The candidate must have the ability to be a technically minded problem-solver, be able to focus on the task at hand, follow through on the prescribed plan, and the ability to be flexible and think under pressure. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated and have a strong desire to learn and have a team player attitude. Top Secret/ SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph is required prior to start. This process can take up to 15 months for issuance so Fall 2027 or later start is expected. Not Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance not available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience with software skills/Web development skills (PERL, JAVA, HTML/XML, C++, SQL, Wiki, JavaScript, MySQL, Linux).
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Experience with Software Development processes.
  • System Testing and diagnostic experience.
  • Understanding of baseline development and delivery process.
  • Experience involving customer engagement and reporting.
  • Prior internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow engineers to learn the aspects of various teams.
  • Evaluate system architecture and performance in context of mission requirements.
  • Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and mission impact analyses.
  • Support modeling and simulation to validate mission effectiveness and system performance.
  • Collaborate with system engineers and program managers.
  • Provide technical input during design reviews.
  • Support integration and testing activities to ensure mission objectives are met.
  • Contribute to the development of mission threads, use cases, and test scenarios.
  • Support operations planning and post-mission analysis if applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with systems engineering standards and mission assurance guidelines
