About The Position

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) to support the design, development, and integration of advanced aerospace and defense systems. This role focuses on translating high-level requirements into actionable system designs, supporting full lifecycle engineering activities, and ensuring system performance in real-world environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or related technical environments
  • Experience with GNC concepts, including control systems, guidance algorithms, or trajectory optimization
  • Working knowledge of aerodynamics fundamentals
  • Experience managing requirements throughout the full system lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, test, verification, and validation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional engineering teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience
  • U.S. Citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Ability to work onsite full-time during standard business hours

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with GPS/GNSS systems and navigation system integration
  • Knowledge of RF systems, antenna placement, and receiver integration
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo)
  • Background in configuration management and system documentation best practices
  • Experience working in agile environments or on rapid prototyping efforts

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex systems to meet performance and mission requirements
  • Translate high-level requirements into detailed system and subsystem specifications
  • Conduct functional analysis, trade studies, and define system interfaces
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in and lead technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and other lifecycle gates)
  • Identify technical risks and assess potential cost and schedule impacts
  • Ensure system compliance with applicable engineering and defense standards
  • Provide onsite support for integration and test events, including periodic travel as needed
