About The Position

Guidance, navigation, and control systems for aircraft and munitions. Resilient systems engineering for real-world defense applications. Flight software, simulations, and custom tools for system-level testing. Weapon system integration, testing, and control system design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field
  • 6+ years of experience in DoD or Aerospace industry
  • Experience in GNC disciplines (control systems, guidance, trajectory optimization)
  • Knowledge of aerodynamic principles
  • Experience in full requirements lifecycle management
  • Experience with integration, test, verification, and validation
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite (core hours: M–F, 8am–3pm)
  • Open to contract-to-hire (CTH) or direct hire depending on candidate preference

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of defense systems meeting performance requirements
  • Translate customer requirements into system-level and lower-level specifications
  • Perform functional analysis, trade studies, and interface definition
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across teams
  • Execute integration, testing, verification, and validation activities
  • Support and lead technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, Stage Gate)
  • Identify system risks and cost impacts
  • Ensure compliance with defense standards
  • Travel periodically to support testing and integration efforts
