About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and evaluate cloud systems that support a global enterprise solution, primarily utilizing Azure services (Intune, MDE, Entra, Azure IaaS). The role involves applying security best practices, planning and executing implementation and maintenance, and developing cloud solution roadmaps aligned with business objectives. The engineer will analyze cloud requirements for feasibility, collaborate with other staff on hardware/software interfaces, and automate software deployment and management tasks using scripting and open-source solutions. Responsibilities also include resolving complex technical problems, creating procedures, facilitating communication, and producing technical documentation.

Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree; 4 years w/Associate Degree
  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and evaluating enterprise-level cloud solutions, specifically with Microsoft Azure services (Intune, MDE, Entra, Azure IaaS)
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in scripting, automation, and deployment technologies
  • Experience with software development methodologies and open-source tools to build automation solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic technical roadmaps

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate cloud systems that support a global enterprise solution, primarily utilizing Azure services (Intune, MDE, Entra, Azure IaaS).
  • Apply security best practices to all phases of cloud implementation and integration.
  • Plan and execute the implementation and maintenance of the enterprise cloud solution.
  • Develop and manage cloud solution roadmaps that align with business objectives and company strategy.
  • Analyze cloud requirements to assess the feasibility of designs within time and cost constraints.
  • Collaborate with other engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, ensuring operational and performance requirements are met.
  • Automate the gathering, scripting, packaging, and deployment of approved software to the enterprise.
  • Utilize software development principles and open-source solutions to automate tasks related to the management of products and services.
  • Resolve complex technical problems, create and refine procedures, and facilitate clear communication across teams.
  • Research and produce high-quality technical documentation for internal teams and the broader organization.
