About The Position

This role is for a Systems Engineer Co-Op position for Spring/Summer 2027, located onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The co-op will involve working within a team of Systems and Software engineers to design, develop, and test software features for software solutions integrated into helicopters and planes. The role emphasizes integrating soft skills like leadership, communication, and coordination into a dynamic environment to deliver quality products. Travel, both domestic and international, is expected to be less than 10%. The co-op will provide an opportunity to grow knowledge in Systems Engineering and Flight Management Systems.

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Experience with C, C++, ADA, and/or Python.
Ability to draft System and/or Software Requirements
Pilot/Avionics Experience (i.e. Private Pilot, Aircraft Maintenance, DO-178 Certification)

Responsibilities
