About The Position

This is an early-career engineering co-op position for a student with educational and/or professional experience in model-based development and/or simulation. The role involves running and testing algorithmic models using Simulink and MATLAB, documenting equations and derivations, generating MATLAB plots, and conducting data and statistical analysis. It also includes lab-based contributions on target products. The candidate will work independently under limited supervision or collaboratively with a team, and communicate with people inside and outside their job function. The role may eventually include providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees in the job area. The position supports the JPALS program by testing algorithms and models, developing tools for testing, working on multiple tasks in a software development environment, analyzing system issues, and improving code quality through code reviews and sound software practices. The position is designated remote and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; an active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after day one.
