About The Position

Lockheed Martin is looking for a dynamic Systems Engineer to join the Combined Orbital Operations Logistics & Resiliency (COOLR) team within the Satellite Engineering, Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) program in Sunnyvale, California. This role will focus on supporting infrastructure, system installation, comprehensive team coordination and Hardware Configuration in the control areas. As a Systems Engineer, you will provide hardware obsolescence tracking and support, troubleshoot Windows Systems, support user profile creation and maintain tools, and support the Systems Engineering leadership team in planning and execution of work scope and Program execution. You will also lead, generate and coordinate schedules with stakeholders, ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, system requirements, and work plans, and support the planning, organizing, control, Integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility, and with the customer when needed. Additional responsibilities include obsolescence tracking & support, travel to remote sites as needed/when requested, ensuring Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers, supporting the coordination of COOLR System issues from a SEOSS Perspective, supporting technical meetings standardizing processes across programs, and supporting ad hoc tasking by Program Technical Leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, STEM related field, or relevant Experience
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with IT Help Desk/Admin Tasks/troubleshooting (VDI, Flash Baseline, etc.)
  • Familiar with Jira

  • Project Management / Project Engineering experience
  • Basic experience with Trouble shooting computer systems and/or applications
  • Python, VBA, Perl, FORTRAN 77, PowerShell
  • Extensive Troubleshooting experience
  • Windows task scheduler
  • Windows active directory
  • Interpersonal skills for reaching out & managing coordination across multiple disciplines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking and social skills, with the ability to lead multifunctional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
