About The Position

T-Rex is looking for a fully cleared Systems Engineer 6 to work on a program in the Fort Meade, Maryland area in support of the Intelligence Community. This role involves applying systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The Systems Engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, and communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. The position is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with various process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, including Technical, Project, Enterprise, and Agreement processes.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with FSP security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS)
AI/ML system design and implementation
High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring)
Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/MLOps
Experience with Amazon SageMaker is a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups, ability to proactively engage with these groups to understand requirements and inform system architecture decisions
System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems)
Data engineering and data lifecycle management

Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement. Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management. Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
