About The Position

The Systems Engineer 3 (SE3) candidate will be responsible for executing core tasks related to autonomous dataflow plan engineering, independent problem-solving, rapid domain acquisition, and SOP adaptation and knowledge capture. This role requires synthesizing high-level operational requirements into detailed dataflow plans, analyzing and resolving complex dataflow routing issues, and mastering new systems and tools to meet operational needs. The candidate will also adapt existing documentation and create formal procedures and technical recommendations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
  • Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
  • PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Polygraph required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with knowledge management and ticketing tools such as Confluence and Jira to track team progress, identify and address documentation gaps, and maintain comprehensive records of dataflows, workflows, and routing anomalies.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize high-level operational requirements into detailed, end-to-end dataflow plans, defining ingest points, transformation steps, security/compliance boundary crossings, and destination endpoints.
  • Analyze and resolve complex dataflow routing issues where standardized documentation or procedures are insufficient or non-existent.
  • Independently research, analyze, and master new or unfamiliar systems and tools to address emerging operational needs.
  • Leverage existing baseline documentation as a preliminary guide, while synthesizing tailor-made solutions into formal, repeatable procedures and technical recommendations.
