About The Position

Seeking a System Administrator to provide IT systems support for daily operations and resolves all issues to ensure system availability and optimization. The ideal candidate will provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, and mobile devices. They will also provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers, optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning. Additionally, the candidate will provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. This role involves configuring and managing LINUX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installing/loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining the integrity of network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Seven (7) years experience as an SA in programs of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Four (4) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience
Must have background supporting both Linux and Windows OS
Experience with software installation and configuration
Understanding of applying patches to systems and maintaining STE/STN compliance on SSPs
Security + Certification (SEC+)

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS and cloud environments
Scripting experience (Python) is a plus

Responsibilities

Support and maintain Linux systems. Experience with Windows to support Microsoft PowerBI is also very helpful
Create, support, and manage virtual machines
Manage all IAVA patches ensuring multiple SSPs remain STE/STN compliant. Work in close coordination with ISSO
Manage installation and configuration of software environments
Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
Perform Data Transfer Agent (DTA) responsibilities, including reviewing, validating, documenting, and executing authorized data transfers between systems and security domains at varying classification levels
