This position involves analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The role includes guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, conducting feasibility studies, and providing technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. The Systems Engineer 2 will incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, develop technical documentation, and create system architecture and design documentation. This role also guides system development and implementation planning, interacts with the Government on Systems Engineering technical considerations, and holds ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is essential.
