This position analyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The role involves analyzing system requirements and leading design and development activities, guiding users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies. The System Engineer 2 provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, and incorporates new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. This role also involves developing technical documentation and system architecture/design documentation. The position guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. The engineer will interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, holding ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area. Communication with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives is also a key aspect of this role.
