About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on designing innovative solutions for reinventing mobility. As a Systems Design Leader, you will be responsible for managing the Systems Budget execution within assigned projects, ensuring alignment with overall project and Systems Discipline budgets. You will lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the Systems discipline, adhering to standardized methodologies and KPIs. This role involves driving design solutions and reuse, supporting Systems QRQC for rapid resolution of technical issues, and contributing to the competency development of the Systems design team. You will also execute the Systems Efficiency Plan and collaborate closely with the Systems Engineering Manager, Systems Team Leader, and R&D Technical Project Leader to ensure seamless integration and successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to Systems Designers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required
5+ years of experience in automotive ECU development
Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and within budget

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Engineering in Electronics or Software is preferred.
ADAS is preferred.
Experience within functional safety ISO 26262, and cybersecurity methodologies is preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for Systems Budget execution within the assigned project, ensuring alignment with the overall project budget and Systems Discipline budget guidelines.
Responsible for the Systems QCD Management: Lead the team responsible for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance of the Systems discipline within the assigned project, adhering to standardized methodologies, Systems project dashboard and KPIs.
Responsible for Systems Technical Review execution and corrective action plan within the project.
Drive design solutions & reuse within the assigned project.
Support Systems QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control): Identify systems issues in standard, method, tools, test means for ensuring rapid resolution of technical issues and continuous improvement in design execution.
Responsible for Project Systems QRQC, ensuring management of the correction of major technical issues with the support of the entity Systems engineering manager and the relevant Systems Experts.
Support Systems Competency Development of the Systems design team within the project.
Execute Systems Efficiency Plan within the assigned project.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering Manager and Systems Team Leader: Maintain regular communication and alignment on budget performance, design execution, quality control, and efficiency initiatives.
Collaborate with R&D Technical Project Leader: Work closely to ensure seamless integration of the Systems design within the overall project plan, timeline, and technical specifications.
Lead and Mentor Systems Designers: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to Systems Designers working on the project, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
