In this high-visibility position, the Systems Design Engineer will leverage their systems engineering expertise to define products, develop scalable and automated solutions, assess root causes, create proof of concepts, and produce solution resolutions.

Requirements

  • PC system and APU/SOC power management
  • Low power measurement methodologies
  • Power modeling concepts and methodologies
  • Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Debug techniques and methodologies
  • Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization
  • Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering

Responsibilities

  • Develop and automate System Power Modeling
  • Develop software/hardware modeling frameworks
  • Profiling power impact from components, features and workloads
  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives
  • Working with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
  • Working closely with supporting technical teams
  • Leading collaborative approaches with multiple teams
