About The Position

Performs production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies. Works with blueprints, changes, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts and assemblies to quality requirements. Completes required data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression. Sets up and performs manual and automated assembly operations and portable machine functions. Performs pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final assembly. Uses precision measuring instruments required to accomplish work assignments.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • 2-4 years of experience in production assembly operations.
  • 2 years' minimum experience in aviation production or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools.
  • Ability to work with blueprints, changes, specifications, and work orders to assemble and install parts and assemblies.
  • Ability to use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Ability to make continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion.
