About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Architect to develop systems architecture and modeling solutions in support of the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Nuclear Sea Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program. This role involves developing and maintaining systems architecture models using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques, specifying and managing system hierarchy and decomposition, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system architecture meets stakeholder needs. The position also requires verifying and validating system architecture against requirements, including simulation and testing, and presenting system architecture maturity to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field.
  • 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Systems Engineering and SysML/UML modeling experience utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, navigate at the expert level with System Modeling tools, and is familiar with developing Use Cases, Activity Models, and other SysML models.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/Experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons Systems.
  • INCOSE ASEP/CSEP Certification.
  • OMG Certified SysML Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Certification
  • Systems Engineering experience spanning the SE Lifecycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to interface with the government representatives and internal departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain systems architecture models using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to ensure accurate representation of system architecture.
  • Specify and manage system hierarchy and decomposition of the system, its interfaces, and relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, test, and production, to ensure that system architecture meets stakeholder needs and requirements.
  • Verify and validate system architecture against requirements, including simulation and testing.
  • Present system architecture maturity to stakeholders at milestones and Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Events.
