Responsibilities

• Develop architecture and migration strategies for legacy BAS systems and technologies.
• Evaluate existing BAS infrastructure and develop modernization, upgrade, and lifecycle-replacement plans.
• Design reliable and scalable BAS network architectures, including communication pathways, segmentation, and system interfaces.
• Coordinate BAS architecture with enterprise IT, cybersecurity, network engineering, facilities engineering, and operations teams.
• Provide technical direction for BAS system upgrades, migrations, integrations, and new construction projects.
• Establish standards for BAS graphics, programming, naming conventions, databases, alarms, trends, points, and system configurations.
• Review engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, sequences of operation, and contractor submittals for compliance with BAS architecture requirements.
• Analyze system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy efficiency, maintainability, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop system interfaces and data integrations between BAS platforms and enterprise systems, including data historians, analytics platforms, dashboards, and facility management systems.
