This position is for a Senior Systems Architect – IT Module within the Data Center Architecture Team. The role involves defining and leading the architecture for the data center IT Module (white space), encompassing high-density power distribution, cooling integration, rack infrastructure, modular deployment strategies, and pod-level system design. The Systems Architect will act as the primary systems integrator for white space components, ensuring the creation of scalable, repeatable, and optimized designs that facilitate rapid deployment of compute capacity for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and next-generation AI data centers. Key responsibilities include developing end-to-end reference architectures and collaborating with customers to shape future data center solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the data center industry.
  • Experience spanning multiple data center domains.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, mission-critical power architectures from concept through deployment.
  • Medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution expertise.
  • UPS systems knowledge.
  • Energy storage knowledge.
  • Power electronics knowledge.
  • AC and DC power architectures knowledge.
  • Protective coordination knowledge.
  • Switchgear and busway systems knowledge.
  • Knowledge of emerging high-voltage DC architectures and future power distribution technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive, engineering, and operational audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
  • Strong customer-facing experience working with enterprise or hyperscale data center operators.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the architecture of the data center IT Module (white space).
  • Integrate high-density power distribution, cooling, rack infrastructure, modular deployment strategies, and pod-level system design.
  • Serve as the primary systems integrator across white space components.
  • Ensure scalable, repeatable, and optimized designs for rapid compute capacity deployment.
  • Develop end-to-end reference architectures.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to shape future data center solutions.
  • Incorporate customer requirements into product roadmaps and solution architectures.
  • Develop white papers, technical publications, and thought leadership content.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and traditional project management methodologies.
