About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is seeking a Systems and Support Analyst for the Student Financial Services department. This role serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for financial aid platforms and applications, responsible for configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems to enhance student aid experience and daily operations. The position offers remote work flexibility within approved states and requires a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection. The analyst will play a key role in improving financial aid practices through collaboration and system initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in higher education financial aid administration, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial aid and student information systems/platforms, such as Banner, PeopleSoft, Colleague, Workday, or other higher education systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to enhance system processes, daily operations, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • 1+ years of advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), including the ability to support system configuration, reporting, data validation, and query development within higher education platforms and databases.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful access to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), which requires all federal student loans to be in good standing and not in default. A credit check will be conducted to verify loan standing and eligibility for system access.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and advance systems used in financial aid to support student service, daily operations and processing.
  • Review, test, and troubleshoot product updates and annual releases.
  • Drive excellence in service through ongoing department support and calibration.
  • Participate in important initiatives to collaborate with partners to design and improve all financial aid practices.
  • Challenge thinking and processes to drive, deliver, and facilitate system initiatives and solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of the interdependencies and sharing of data within system integrations.
  • Complete daily support functions connected to the student aid experience.
  • Perform and monitor financial aid batch processes within the Student Information System.
  • Provide direct, open, and honest feedback to promote engagement, collaboration, and communication to achieve success.
  • Other related duties to support Student Financial Services and University goals.
