Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field required with a minimum of five years experience in database management, reporting, or systems support.
Working knowledge of relational database concepts, query development, and data integrity practices.
Familiarity with business intelligence principles and the ability to present findings in a clear and accessible format.
Application support experience and working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Valid driver's license in state of residence and personal auto liability insurance.
Good driving record (MVR)
Ability to travel on behalf of the company, using personal auto when required.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong customer service orientation.
A stable work history.
High level of confidentiality

Nice To Haves

MCSE or equivalent certifications preferred.
Experience with Symantec Endpoint, ArcServe and Microsoft Hyper-V a plus.

Responsibilities

Work closely with I/S team to ensure all departmental operations are fully compliant with all federal and industry regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with other departments in order to understand and meet their requirements.
Administer and maintain SQL Server database environments across the organization
Monitor database performance, identify issues proactively, and implement tuning and optimization as needed
Manage database backup schedules, test recovery procedures, and ensure data integrity
Control and audit user access, permissions, and security settings
Coordinate database upgrades, patching, and maintenance windows with minimal disruption to operations
Maintain thorough documentation of database environments, configurations, and procedures
Assist with database implementations as needed
Design, build, and maintain operational dashboards and reports used by leadership and department managers
Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data validation, and ad hoc analysis
Partner with department leads to gather requirements and turn business questions into usable data tools
Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and presented in a way non-technical users can act on
Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and reduce repetitive data work
Train and support end users on reporting tools and data resources
Provide support for core business systems, including troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and user assistance
