About The Position

As a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III specializing in Information Security, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements. This role involves developing modular system architectures, automating workflows, and ensuring compliance with security standards and risk management frameworks. You will collaborate across teams to optimize capacity, resolve complex issues, and uphold coding and configuration best practices. Your expertise will support disaster recovery planning, infrastructure performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a resilient and efficient technology environment that safeguards organizational assets.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in infrastructure design, including software architecture, distributed systems, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong knowledge of security standards, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to system security plans and risk compliance reviews.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience with coding standards, secure software development lifecycle, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to analyze business and technical requirements, supporting agile methodologies and user story development.
  • Skilled in capacity management, infrastructure maintenance, and issue resolution for complex systems.
  • Familiarity with configuration and release management processes and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 2 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
  • OR 4 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining efforts to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and security standards.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Conduct risk and compliance reviews to support system security plans and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate in requirement analysis, translating business needs into detailed technical designs and user stories.
  • Write and maintain high-quality, secure code adhering to coding standards and secure development frameworks.
  • Analyze capacity needs and recommend resource optimization to meet service levels efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, escalating as necessary to ensure system reliability.
