Employees in this class are responsible for providing daily information systems support operations and coordinating repair services with outside vendors. Work includes researching and identifying costly areas of county technology equipment and processes to reduce operating and maintenance expenses. Employees in this class also perform hands-on computer installation, repair, and desktop support work. Work is performed under pressure involving deadlines and work flow disturbances. The Director, Management Information Services, assigns work in terms of general instructions, and reviews completed work for the nature and propriety of the final results.
