Collaboration in a team environment to develop, deploy, and support key applications and features is essential, along with a proven understanding of Agile software development methodology. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required for interviewing business partners, understanding project objectives, use cases, and requirements. Strong analytical skills are needed to research, document, and review existing systems and recommend designs for self-contained projects within a larger program. Proficiency in assisting with user requirements and supporting documentation, as well as diagramming business processes and system workflows, is expected. The role involves conveying technical concepts to internal customers, technical team members, and other technical contributors. A willingness to actively participate in defining project scope/backlog and recommending solutions to project issues is important. The candidate should desire to understand WS Digital Platforms’ web and mobile applications and confidently communicate technical concepts to internal partners inside and outside the Scrum team. The ability to learn quickly, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment is crucial. Strong support for Quality Assurance and Business partners throughout all testing phases, including triaging system defects, is required. Extensive knowledge of internet, mobile, and application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologies, is necessary. A full grasp of the software development process, including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution, and planning, is expected. The role requires the use of formal methods (traditional structured or Agile/iterative) for delivering new or improved applications, identifying and communicating systems development processes, and generating requirement documentation. The ability to work constructively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, is important. Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience, and judgment are essential. Effective communication in various settings, including one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, and senior management, is required. The candidate should be skilled at influencing team members and external groups and proactively navigate the organization to accomplish tasks. Willingness to work on multiple efforts simultaneously and possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are necessary. A desire to be organized, highly responsive, and committed to quality is expected.
