About The Position

Supports MSGCU’s core financial banking systems, including software, hardware, and interfaces to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business operations. Schedules and maintains the operational jobs for MSGCU’s data processing systems.

  • Proficient in core banking systems, preferably Symitar, with a clear understanding of how the systems impact MSGCU business operations.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data privacy practices and relevant laws.
  • Understanding of network design and data processing programs including, backups, redundancy, and security.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible Information Systems experience including hands on software and hardware troubleshooting, preferably within a financial institution.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with UNIX/Linux experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and maintains the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system to ensure the storage and retrieval of documents and data remain secure, organized, and compliant.
  • Supports the oversight of upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow application to optimize and streamline IT service processes as directed.
  • Supports the administration and maintenance of MSGCU’s core financial systems and related software applications and server activities for high performance.
  • Leads patching process administration by scheduling and coordinating software updates to minimize disruptions.
  • Serves as a project lead for supported software, systems, integrations, and automation initiatives, providing expertise and guidance on project requirements, designs, and strategies.
  • Partners with stakeholders and vendors to optimize hardware and software for maximum performance with minimal disruption. Conducts research to evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve member delivery systems and organizational efficiency.
  • Provides system and interface support services to all departments ensuring problems are solved quickly without significant interruption to member service, escalating with vendors where applicable.
  • Assists in coordinating off-site storage of MSGCU’s data files and contributes to the planning of system backups and disaster recovery testing.
  • Contributes to the development and documentation of policies, procedures, and system builds to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with MSGCU business objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures that the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and security of enterprise data on multiple databases in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
