The Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the functions of the IT department in installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Also diagnose and repair computers that come in for service, order parts and produce quotes for new equipment. May also work with IT Manager and Systems Administrator on network security. Follows department protocol to log problems, recommend resolutions, priority, and tracking.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Network infrastructure knowledge necessary.
  • Knowledge of Antivirus
  • Knowledge of a medical office practice.
  • Competency in EMR and Practice Management (Epic).
  • Analyzes, investigates, troubleshoots and responds to routine and non-routine Help Desk requests over the phone, through email and ticketing system.
  • Establish good employee relations including conflict resolution.
  • Intermediate computer skills - use of computer applications for Health Information systems, word processing, EMR, and spreadsheets.
  • Discern and maintain confidentiality (i.e. HIPAA, proprietary information, etc.)
  • Works as part of a team; model a positive work ethic and customer friendly relations.
  • Prioritize and multitask detailed projects with frequent interruptions.
  • Solve problems issues and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Comprehend and communicate information accurately and clearly (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, all levels of personnel, and other individuals and groups.
  • Customer Service and Personal Skills: Be able to resolve complex support issues via telephone, maintain professional relationship, respect and good reputation with users.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (CS, Network Engineering, Specialty Training) preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to assigned work schedule (attendance and punctuality).
  • Maintains the hardware and software systems for all company applications and users.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Performs testing on desktop software solutions prior to implementation.
  • Citrix XenApp, Citrix Workspace.
  • Data Backup and recovery.
  • PC / Hardware Maintenance: Support Windows, Linux, MS Office Apps, & Mac OS, Android and Apple iOS
  • Supports basic computer training on software fundamentals, bridging gap between users and IT staff.
  • Interfaces with network users to resolve problems and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Follows department protocol to log problems, recommend resolutions, priority and tracking.
  • Keeps the IT team informed.
  • Meets with IT Manager and users to gather system requirements, offers analysis of those requirements and helps formulate a plan to develop the systems and procedures to satisfy the requirements within the IT team framework.
  • Employee seeks assistance as needed and communicates questions in a timely manner and to appropriate staff (supervisor, colleagues, providers, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
