Under moderate direction, the System Analyst is responsible for configuring, documenting, testing, modifying and maintaining software applications. Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, cross functional IS teams and other departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. Provides guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of the software systems. Provides solutions or resolves end-user system issues. May be assigned to more complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advance issues. Provides second-tier support to end users to ensure reliable application system availability and performance. Responsible for system integrity. Facilitates user departments obtaining new computer systems or modifications to existing systems by understanding the functions of the user department and analyzing current processing and procedures, advising them on appropriate alternatives in meeting their computing needs, and assisting them in the preparation of associated requests. The System Analyst may be viewed as a subject matter expert on specific modules within one or more enterprise-wide systems.
