About The Position

TEKsystems is currently seeking a Systems Analyst for a contract to hire role in the Kansas City area. This role involves providing expert functional support for systems, recommending corrective actions, collaborating with IT for fixes and enhancements, developing and implementing test plans, conducting system testing, provisioning and maintaining security access, supporting IT audits, writing and maintaining queries and reports, determining system requirements, documenting business processes, and performing data analysis. The analyst will serve as an analytics resource, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency, and identifying and correcting system process issues.

Requirements

Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financials ERP modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Fixed Assets and Travel & Expense) and ability to develop knowledge of the business processes for each.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to conceptualize, formulate, and succinctly convey complex solutions to a wide audience.
Desire to implement best practices.
Demonstrated track record of process improvement through innovation and creativity, considering different approaches to issue resolution.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in the Insurance Industry a plus
Operational/Technical knowledge in General Ledger and Subledger Accounting
Experience working with managed services and/or offshore teams

Responsibilities

Provides expert functional support for systems by responding to issues encountered by operational teams, recommending corrective actions or changes, reporting those requiring IT involvement, assisting IT in issue resolution, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience.
Partners and collaborates with IT to implement fixes, modifications, enhancements, and new systems.
Develops, documents, and implements test plans with respect to the functional requirements of new systems and/or upgrades to existing systems.
Conducts system testing and release note review for change requests, frequent system updates and configuration changes.
Provisions, supports and maintains security access for associates globally, ensuring compliance through security testing and analysis.
Supports the annual IT audit with respect to accounting systems access controls.
Writes and maintains queries and reports for end users using a variety of tools including SmartView, Oracle Financial Reporting Studio, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, SQL, and Power BI.
Determines system requirements and communicates them with specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation.
Collaborates with the business to identify and document business requirements and implement appropriate specifications, monitoring for compliance and effectiveness.
Documents current state business processes with respect to Accounting systems, including automation, exception handling, and issue resolution.
Provides expertise and best practice recommendations to operational teams.
Creates documentation for end users to reference and conducts system training for new hires.
Sources, compiles, and interprets data, serving as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units, offering guidance on the systems and data output.
Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
Identifies issues that affect system processes and assists in correcting.
