The System Analyst VI position resides within the TIERS / MES applications and project delivery organization responsible for designing, building, and operating modern application solutions. The role serves as a senior technical contributor, providing hands‑on expertise across full-stack cloud‑native and hybrid application development, CI/CD delivery pipelines, and cloud infrastructure environments. The position is responsible for contributing to application design and development, supporting secure and reliable deployments, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards for security, performance, and maintainability. The role works closely with cross‑functional partners, including infrastructure, security, product teams, and third‑party vendors, to deliver high‑quality technical solutions and oversee technical quality through design, code, and test reviews. Selected candidate must work onsite from an HHS office located in Austin, Texas designated by the hiring manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (Experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering can be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis).
  • 8–10 years of hands‑on IT experience, including full‑stack application development
  • Experience across the full application Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including deployment into production

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering solutions in heavily regulated industries or compliance‑driven environments
  • Prior public sector experience
  • Demonstrated technical thought leadership, including influencing design decisions and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, configure, and operate application solutions and delivery processes
  • Provide technical oversight, reviews, and vendor coordination
  • Collaborate internally, mentor team members, and contribute to shared solution assets
  • Report on technical solutions and delivery status to leadership
