The Systems Database Development Analyst V performs advanced senior-level database analysis, design, administration, and support work for enterprise data systems. Work involves planning and overseeing database operations; ensuring effective storage, retrieval, integration, customization, and archiving of data; developing and implementing database standards, policies, and procedures; monitoring and improving database performance; and ensuring data integrity, security, availability, and recoverability. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment in support of the HHSC Division for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities include designing, configuring, administering, and supporting databases to ensure the integrity, security, performance, and accessibility of agency data. Responsibilities also include supporting analysts and other users in accessing reliable information, maintaining stable and efficient database operations, and coordinating database changes across development, test, and production environments. The position will focus on Oracle 19c or higher databases, Informatica/Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)/similar ETL jobs, SSRS and Power BI reporting solutions, and data warehouse structures. This position is classified as a full-time position (40 hours a week). Work outside of regular business hours may be required to support releases, maintenance, incident response, and recovery activities. Travel to other work locations may be required. Performs other duties as assigned.
