About The Position

Works under the supervision of higher-level Systems Analysts. Supports the planning, organization, and coordination of application support activities for software applications. Supports the coordination of interactions between the users of computer applications, the Information Systems Department and related vendor support personnel. Assists other in the implementation of applications and ongoing system enhancements. Consults with and assists users in making the most effective use of computer applications through training, file maintenance, testing, system monitoring, and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 2 year - Associate Degree in any field preferably in Computer science or information systems technology (Required)
  • Broad understanding of computer system concepts including hardware, software, operating systems and network communications.
  • Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors

Nice To Haves

  • 4 year - Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 1 - 2 years Proficiency in the use and understanding of two or more applications currently used in healthcare settings.(Preferred)
  • 1 - 2 years Experience in implementing and/or upgrading an application in a healthcare setting. (Preferred)
  • 1 - 2 years Understanding of the processes related with the department/s and application that the analyst manages.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the planning, organization, and coordination of application support activities for software applications.
  • Supports the coordination of interactions between the users of computer applications, the Information Systems Department and related vendor support personnel.
  • Assists other in the implementation of applications and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Consults with and assists users in making the most effective use of computer applications through training, file maintenance, testing, system monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
