About The Position

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Systems Analyst I to join its Quick Response Team in Houston, Texas. The Systems Analyst I functions as a tech emergency responder, helping minimize operational downtime and mitigate critical security or technical failures by rapidly troubleshooting, containing, and resolving high-severity IT outages and cyber threats.

Requirements

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
Knowledge of Windows Registry.
Knowledge of Excel.
High-level troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of SQL scripting language, Batch, Python, or PowerShell.
Knowledge of network architecture.
Knowledge of Linux.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Responsibilities

Analyze business functions to develop new or modified information processing systems.
Consult with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
Write and maintain functional specifications for new or modified business systems.
Track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
Create or assist others in writing user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
Monitor and document post-implementation problems and revision requests.
Maintain user security and the integrity of system data.
Review logs to determine the causes of issues and identify improvements.
Understand and implement setting changes and upgrades in the system's infrastructure.
Participate in on-call rotations as required.
