About The Position

As a member of an Agile delivery team, the Systems Analyst 3 acts as a senior technical resource in application/service architecture, application design and delivery, translating business and technical requirements into enterprise system. The role is responsible for proactively leading the analysis, architecture, design, and implementation of complex SAP-based enterprise solutions, translating business and technical requirements into scalable, integrated enterprise systems that align with organizational objectives. This role ensures solutions fit within BCLC architecture and industry standards. The Systems Analyst 3 partners with diverse stakeholders on delivering enterprise system solutions, including Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, business stakeholders, as well as a variety of technical and business subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years IT experience with at least five years progressively responsible experience in SAP ERP/S4 HANA/SAP Cloud ERP Private or Public Edition (Rise PCE).
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the principles, concepts, practices and techniques in SAP and ERP Systems in general.
  • SAP Application Management functional Knowledge including modules and components – e.g. FI/CO, MM, WM, HR, SD, SuccessFactors ECP Payroll, Concur, Ariba and related integrations.
  • Good understanding of SAP Managed Operations Services MOS concepts and Basis responsibilities, transports management and refresh process. SAPforMe, CloudALM (Solution Manager) and AWS SAP hosted public/private/hybrid management services.
  • SAP Application Lifecycle Management ALM and project delivery concepts/knowledge.
  • SAP Business Data Cloud BDC, Analytics Cloud, or other fully managed, cloud-based data platform primarily used for data storage, analytics, and AI engineering.
  • Familiarity with integrated SAP Cloud Application Management concepts. Tools including Signavio (process BPML, PDD), LeanIX, SAP BTP, Build AI/Joule.
  • SAP security concepts (controls, application and cyber security)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and change management principles.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with vendor management experience;
  • Software integration experience; experience in analysis, design, development, and deployment of complex software solutions involving online transaction processing, client/server, web, and native applications;
  • Delivering design and development in an Agile environment;
  • Extensive experience in analysis, design, development and implementing systems using application integration architecture (I.e. Microservice and Service-Oriented Architecture), technologies, principles, and standards;
  • Advanced technical writing skills, and able to write reports and document procedures;
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Advanced business acumen;
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, with an ability to communicate and address issues at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders;
  • Advanced time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities;
  • Able to interpret and translate ambiguous situations into structure and clearly defined deliverables;
  • Extensive experience with complex problem solving analytical and innovative thinking with ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
  • Experience in Leading a team (directly or indirectly), strong team player with intermediate to expert skills in facilitating and encouraging team collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting major SAP transformation initiatives, including SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition (RISE PCE), Business Data Cloud (BDC) ecosystem and related SAP product roadmap.
  • Experience using Jira and/or Kanban online boards would be a strong asset;
  • Understanding of Agile methodology or experience working with a cross-functional team environment would be an asset;
  • Understanding of B.C. gaming industry would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert, (or technical lead) translating business requirements and provides technical and impact analysis to deliver complex enterprise system solutions.
  • Responsible for the full scope technical project management of SAP–related operational projects.
  • Works across large functional areas to develop and review SAP-based artifacts including business requirements documents, functional and technical design documents in conjunction with external vendors/service providers.
  • Ensures the successful development, quality assurance, implementation, and ongoing support of the designed SAP solution.
  • Lead key SAP program initiatives, relating SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition (RISE PCE) ecosystem, Business Data Cloud (BDC)/Analytics cloud and related Cloud applications used by BCLC, by coordinating activities across internal teams, vendors and other corporate project stakeholders.
  • Lead integration readiness, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover planning and execution, while tracking risks, dependencies, and cross-workstream impacts, and providing regular status reporting, stakeholder communications, and project updates.
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technology to provide advice and recommend solutions and opportunities to business and technology stakeholders. Participates in Development Community of Practice to ensure alignment with development trends, technology, and approaches.
  • Collaborates with the Business Analyst, Product Owner, and subject matter experts to define non-functional requirements to a sufficient level of detail to ensure applications are flexible, open, scalable, available, testable, and maintainable within a high-volume, mission-critical production environment.
  • Utilizes industry-standard approaches and deep understanding of enterprise systems and their integration points to identify gaps and recommend creative solutions to technical work.
  • Leads and guides cross-functional teams by helping them understand the strategy and deliver on initiatives while promoting high team performance.
  • Facilitates technical and joint-design workshops with technical delivery teams to ensure thorough design and implementation, identifying opportunities to create reusable and standardized components.
