About The Position

Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is a rapidly growing, multi-state Interventional Pain Management group practice providing integrated clinical, surgical, and imaging services. We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support technology infrastructure across our clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and administrative spaces. With locations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee, we are one of the largest single-specialty practices in the nation. We are seeking motivated, qualified professionals to join us in supporting exceptional care across our growing network. Under the general supervision of the IT Director, the Systems Administrator is a hands-on position focused on technical problem-solving, infrastructure support, ticket resolution, and technology setup for new and acquired locations. This individual will serve as the primary internal point of contact for day-to-day technology needs and will own issues from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate is responsive, professional, technically capable, and motivated to grow. This person should be comfortable supporting users, performing routine systems administration, and traveling to Summit locations when needed.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience in systems administration, desktop support, or a comparable corporate IT role.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, user access, and endpoint hardware.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts and tools, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, wireless networks, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience using a ticketing system and working within defined response, resolution, documentation, and escalation standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional updates to users and leadership.
• Demonstrated ownership, follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
• Ability to travel to Summit locations across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee as business needs require.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, relevant technical certifications, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting a healthcare organization, physician practice, ambulatory surgery center, or other multi-location business.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and secure handling of healthcare systems and user access.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Cisco Meraki, SolarWinds, PowerShell, device imaging, backup systems, inventory management, or new-location technology deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own support requests from intake through resolution, including troubleshooting, follow-up, documentation, and timely status updates.
• Administer and support Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID, user accounts, permissions, corporate phone systems, and common business applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, audiovisual equipment, wireless connectivity, VPN access, and basic network issues involving switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
• Perform routine system administration, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, and maintenance in accordance with established standards.
• Complete technology onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access changes, equipment preparation, deployment, recovery, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate hardware and software inventories and coordinate equipment purchasing, replacement, repair, and retirement.
• Provide remote/onsite support and assist with technology setup for clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, new locations, and acquired practices.
• Coordinate with technology vendors and outside support partners while retaining ownership of communication and resolution.
• Identify recurring problems, document root causes, and recommend process improvements or basic automation that reduces support volume and prevents repeat issues.
• Create and maintain system documentation, knowledge-base articles, configuration records, setup instructions, support procedures, and incident reports.
• Follow Summit’s cybersecurity, access-control, privacy, and HIPAA-related technology requirements and promptly escalate suspected security incidents.
• Assist with infrastructure deployments, system upgrades, and other IT projects as assigned.
