About The Position

Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology, is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. A Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business. This is an onsite position located in Cedar Rapids, IA. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates if needed. You will work with one or more of the following technologies: Virtualization, Servers, Clients, Networking, Storage, Backup. You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team. You will build strong relationships with customers and peers. You will assist in driving escalations to resolution. You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE). You will use your technical knowledge and experience to facilitate resolution of service request and restoration tickets. You will assist with the implementation of technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned. Provide support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance is needed day 1 of employment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience supporting technology in a professional environment, secure environment experience preferred.
  • Experience with Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.).
  • Experience with Linux Systems Administration.
  • Experience with Networking.
  • Experience with Compliance frameworks (NIST 800-53).
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+).

Nice To Haves

  • Technology certifications (Systems Administration, Cloud, etc.).
  • Security certifications (Sec+, CISSP, etc.).
  • Govt. Security Clearance (Collateral / Secret).
  • Active IAT Level II certification preferred.

Responsibilities
