About The Position

Watershed Security, a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years of Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience, is seeking a Systems Administrator. This role involves installing, configuring, and supporting an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or segments thereof. The administrator will monitor network availability for all users and perform necessary maintenance. Responsibilities may include monitoring and testing website performance, assisting in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination, and potentially supervising computer user support and network support specialists. Network security measures will also be administered. This position is located onsite at Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA.

Requirements

Bachelors degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Must have one of the following certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.
Perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
Administer network security measures.
