About The Position

Peraton seeks a Systems Administrator to support the daily management, upkeep, and configuration of computer systems in support of DODIN inspections for DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC). In this role, you will support capability development, test and integration, quality control, training, and production environments. Tasks include: Manage, oversee, and maintain a multi-user computing environment that supports the assessment information environment. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of an information system, providing effective information system utilization, adequate security parameters, and sound implementation of established IA policy and procedures. Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Enable faster and smarter business processes and develop analytics for meaningful insights. Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements. Monitor data-center health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise. Help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Will consider Associate+14, HS+16 years of experience.
  • Requires knowledge of Windows and Unix systems administration.
  • Familiar with JFHQ-DODIN Joint Doctrine in order to perform system administration to maintain and upgrade capabilities requirement.
  • Able to develop, deploy, configure, and sustain software packages to Windows, Linux client and other operating systems client systems via Endpoint Security solutions.
  • Able to build, deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines that run Windows, Linux, and other operating systems.
  • Able to build, configure, sanitize, and maintain equipment to include includes laptops, servers, routers, switches, flyaway kits, and other items.
  • Familiarity with applying security best practices to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, ensuring the underlying infrastructure is robust and secure.
  • Able to implement security measures for containerized applications, including secure image repositories, container runtime security, and vulnerability scanning
  • Current DOD 8140/8570 IAT II certification, such as Security+.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI.
  • U.S Citizenship Required.
